Case Study

After a period of negotiation
Oilgear Towler finally agreed to use Bank Bottom as a sub-contract
machinist. The first projects were complex and low volume Towler felt they
needed to establish a feel for our quality which turned out to be more than
satisfactory. This in turn lead to an order for 24 "cylinder blocks" a
complex component with 18 bores each with a 12 micron tolerance this is a
part Towlers had always resisted sub-contracting stating "we are the only
people that can get these right". This in turn was successful resulting in
the letter of commendation included and a further order for another fifty
units.
